More than twenty years ago, while exhibiting at the Blowing Rock Art in the Park show, we were introduced to Donna Summers, owner of the Hemlock Inn. Donna warmly invited us to stay, assuring us they had a room that would wok well for us and would do everything possible to make us comfortable.

That first stay began a tradition that continues to this day.

For more than two decades, the Hemlock Inn has been our home away from home during the Blowing Rock shows. Donna and Brian are gracious hosts who truly care about their guests. We love being able to walk into town, enjoy the shops and restaurants of Blowing Rock, and then prepare for another day at the art show.

Many visitors to our booth have met our beloved service dog, Birdie Belle. What many people don't know is that Donna and Brian have been part of Birdie's story from the very beginning. Not only were they Birdie's breeders, but they lovingly raised and cared for her during her first five months before she came to join our family. Their kindness, dedication, and love helped shape the wonderful dog that so many of our collectors and friends have come to know over the years.

The Hemlock Inn represents everything we love about mountain hospitality-warm welcomes, lasting friendships, and genuine care for others. We are grateful to Donna and Brian for their friendship, their support of Marcus throughout the years, and for making every visit to Blowing Rock feel like coming home.
